Prof Ricardo Henriques is an internationally recognised biophysicist known for his pioneering work at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC) in Portugal.


Specialising in developing advanced optical microscopy techniques, Prof Henriques has made significant contributions to our understanding of cellular processes at the molecular level. He has gained widespread recognition for his innovative approach to super-resolution microscopy, designing new techniques that enable scientists to visualise cellular structures and processes with unprecedented detail.


In addition to his research, Prof Henriques is also a passionate advocate for open science, contributing to developing open-source software tools and promoting accessibility and transparency in scientific research.
